In addition to the European Weather Center, the 120 thousand square meters campus, redeveloped from unused buildings and grounds of the former Manifattura Tabacchi (a tobacco factory) in Bologna, will host some of the major European excellences in the sector: the European supercomputer Leonardo, the Agenzia Italia Meteo, the National Institute of Astrophysics, research, university branches and common areas for R&D startups.

This international hub of Big Data, digital and new technologies, will concentrate 80% of the national supercomputing capacity and 20% of the European one.

The facility includes solar panels to provide renewable power and cooling systems that use a mixture of groundwater cooling and dry coolers.

ThermoKey is extremely proud to participate with our cooling solutions.
