Founded in 2008 in Munich, Orcan Energy offers simple and flexible second-generation ORC solutions turning unused energy from engines and industrial facilities into valuable electricity.

The Organic Rankine Cycle (ORC) is a key technology to achieve the internationally shared goal of increasing energy efficiency: thanks to a system based on a closed-cycle thermodynamic cycle, it allows to recover a part of the waste heat produced by industrial processes by converting it into electricity, which is then immediately reused for the same production site.

The advantages of using ORC technology are many: companies can save money while improving their carbon footprint at the same time. They benefit from lower energy costs and they make a valuable contribution to protecting the environment, as they reduce their CO₂ emissions and increase efficiency by recycling energy that would otherwise go wasted.

Established as a spin-off from the Technical University of Munich, Orcan Energy has become a leading European CleanTech company for energy solutions based on ORC technology and just last January it ranked as the second most used supplier of waste heat solutions worldwide.

ThermoKey represents a unique position on the market: on the one hand it is a manufacturer of coils (tube&fin and microchannel) for the main European Chiller manufacturers, on the other, for more than 30 years it has been a manufacturer of aircooled units (DryCoolers, Remote condensers and Unit Coolers).

We are therefore able to make the most out of microchannel technology, which means very low use of refrigerant and (the production of) extremely efficient aircooled units.
